So, what is boudoir photography?

Boudoir photography is a photographic style featuring intimate, sensual, romantic, and sometimes erotic images of its subjects in a photographic studio, bedroom or private dressing room environment, primarily intended for the private enjoyment of the subjects and their romantic partners. It is distinct from glamour and art nude photography in that it is usually more suggestive rather than explicit in its approach to nudity and sexuality, features subjects who do not regularly model, and produces images that are not intended to be seen by a wide audience, but rather to remain under the control of the subject.

Unlike other genres, boudoir’s subjects are often not professional models—anyone can do a boudoir shoot. In fact, if you are on a journey of self-discovery, in need of a confidence boost, or just want to express yourself unabashedly, a boudoir session can be the very thing you’ve been looking for.

Who should have boudoir pictures taken?

I firmly believe boudoir photography is open to every adult of every age, shape and size. As the photographer, my goal is to make you comfortable and provide you with pictures that bring out the beauty that is inside of every person. Old, young, middle age, tall, short, skinny and not so skinny, all are welcome.

Why you should do it!

The answer is simple. Because you are beautiful! A lot of our clients get their pictures taken as a way to feel more confident about themselves. Some people want to surprise that special person in their life with a fun romantic gift. Having pictures taken is a great way to bring a spark to your life and keep that romantic flame in your relationship.

What should I wear or bring with me?

You have the option of deciding the poses, style of clothing and mood of your pictures. I suggest you bring 3-7 outfits if you have them. The clothing you bring can be lingerie, dresses, tee shirts and shorts or something from that special person in your life. I can provide some props, outfits and suggestions as well.

Have your hair done and ready to go. Makeup is up to you, but I suggest having some nice matte lipstick in colors that compliment the colors of your outifits.

Who will see my pictures?

None of your photos will ever be shared without your permission. It is always exciting when a client sees the fantastic results and wants to share them on my page. The pictures taken are viewed and edited by me. You choose which ones you want printed or saved to a disc or drive. After that, it is up to you who you share them with.

Your ability to trust me and know I will provide the confidentiality you want is VERY important to me.
